Usha Siam Steel Industries ( "USSIL") was incoporated in 1980 as a joint venture between Usha Martin Industries, India and Leading Industrialists in Thailand - Promoted by Board of Investment ("BOI") for production of Steel Wires and Ropes.

USSIL became a Public Company Limited in 1997.

USSIL is among the largest integrated Steel Wires, Industrial Strands, Control Cables and Wireropes Plants based in the ASEAN region with an annual manufacturing capacity of 36,000 MT. USSIL is also part of the Usha Martin Group, which is now among the top Steel Wire and Wirerope groups in the world. The Usha Martin group is highly vertically integrated with its own facilities for sponge iron manufacturing , steel making, rolling, wires, strands, ropes manufacturing as well as construction of ropeways. The group also has manufacturing facilities for Jelly filled cables, and Optic fiber cables.

USSIL is ISO 9001 accredited and also has approvals of Lloyds Register of Shipping, Japanese Industrial Standards for- JIS 3525 and American Petroleum Institute- API 9A licence.
